Due to a lack of data, this set doesn't include individual goal kicker ranges, and team kicks at goal have been estimated using the 1983 Australian League data.
 
As this season had a much greater number of drop goals than in the modern day, we recommend ignoring the time boundaries as described in the rule book for when a drop goal can be 'allowed', and just use the score difference at the time to determine if, and to which team, a drop goal was scored.

They also won the postseason Premiership Trophy for the top eight clubs. It was their fourth league championship and first in five years, and second postseason trophy win.
 
Widnes won the Challenge Cup, denying Wigan a first win in nearly 20 years, while Leeds won the League Cup over the Cheshire club.
 
At the bottom of the table, Whitehaven only won three matches, and were joined in being relegated by Salford, Wakefield and Fulham.
