All twelve teams from the top level of rugby league in England and France are included with separate team ratings for home and away matches, along with try scorers lists. Note that some ratings have been estimated due to lack of information, so this set does not include individual goal kicker ranges.

The first-ever European League season kicked off with expansion teams in London and Paris along with now long-lost as top-flight clubs in Halifax, Oldham, Sheffield and Workington. The season was conducted without playoffs and the title race went down to the final day before St. Helens's 66-14 win over Warrington saw them pip Wigan to the league championship by one point to become the first champions. It was also the club's eighth title but first since 1975.
