This is a what-if? set as not only are the five teams who played in the real tournament included, but three years before their inclusion in the expanded 6-Country Tournament and having played all five countries across the season, Italy has also been included in the set. All six teams have their team ratings and try scorers lists as well as individual goal kicker ranges, as well as the tournament-specific match control charts. Please note that some ratings have been estimated due to lack of information, and the set also uses an era-specific double range for drop goals. The schedule sheet also includes the optional matches for Italy should you want to include them in the what-if? expanded tournament.

In the actual 5-Country Tournament, despite England outscoring their opponents by 86 points across the four matches, France pulled off the comeback 23-20 win at Twickenham to give them the title instead as they won all four matches to win the Grand Slam and to deny the English a third straight title. The other three countries all won once each.
