In the other semi-final, also England vs France, Exeter saw off Toulouse 28-18 to set-up a final, moved from Marseille to Bristol due to coronavirus. In that final, Exeter dominated the first half, and although the Paris club came close to taking the title, the English club hung on to claim their first European title 31-27.
