In the men's tournament, Argentina won gold beating Canada, twice defending champions, in the final, with the United States beating Brazil in extra time for the bronze medal. In the women's tournament, it was Canada retaining the title, with the United States, the only team to score any points against the Canadians in the tournament, finishing with the silver. Again the bronze medal match went to extra time, and again Brazil was beaten, this time by Colombia.
