This set contains the top 72 eligible men and women's biathletes from the 2020-21 World Cup standings, with all 144 receiving separate cards for head-to-head and time trial races, with the cards containing ratings for ski speed and shooting accuracy. Also included are the as-raced calendars, with each event having its own base race time, to use if wanted.

In the men's World Cup, Johannes Thingnes Boe claimed his third straight title but only after fending off a massive challenge from the new Norwegian star Sturla Holm Laegreid, with the globe only decided in the final race, the mass start at Oestersund in Sweden, and by just 13 points.

In the women's tour, it was Norway on top again, but Tiril Eckhoff claimed her first globe having had a much easier time of it, as she won half of the races (13) on the way to finishing 189 points ahead of yet another compatriot, Marte Olsbu Roeiseland.

At the World Championships in Pokljuka in Slovenia, Laegreid claimed two golds in the individual and mass start, at his first Championship, with Sweden's Martin Ponsiluoma also claiming his first gold in the sprint, whilst France's Emilien Jacquelin retained his pursuit gold from last year at Antholz-Anterselva.

Eckhoff also claimed two golds in the sprint and pursuit, her first individual gold since her only previous one in the sprint on home snow at Oslo-Holmenkollen in 2016. There were first-time golds though for Czech Marketa Davidova in the individual, and Austria's Lisa Theresa Hauser in the mass start.
