The United States repeated their double triumph from the inaugural tournament in 2019. The hosts Chile would claim two medals. In the men's, they would make the final before losing 21-15 to the undefeated Americans, while in the women's, they claimed bronze defeating Puerto Rico after losing to the USA in the semis.
 
In the women's there was a historic first medal for Colombia after beating Puerto Rico in the semi-final, but again the USA reigned supreme in the gold medal match with a 21-14 victory. The men's bronze was won by Trinidad and Tobago, who also claimed their first medal with a 21-20 victory over Venezuela, denying them their first.
