This set contains all 40 teams (20 men and 20 women) that competed in the main round of the top-level European Cup competition, with each team receiving team lists (no team cards in this set) for ratings, which are split into separate home and away game ratings, as well as player scoring cards (maximum of 13 players included).
 
In the men's competition, Perugia (Italy) became champions for the first time, defeating another first time finalist Zawiercie (Poland) 15-10 in the final set, after their opponents came from two sets down to force the fifth set.
 
Fellow Poles Jastrzębie-Zdrój defeated Ankara (Turkey) for third place.
 
In the women's competition, Italian clubs dominated with them claiming all of the top three places. Conegliano claimed back-to-back and a third overall title, defeating Scandicci who were playing their first final, in straight sets.
 
Milan defeated Istanbul VB (Turkey) in the third place match to complete the clean sweep of the podium for Italy.
