This set contains all 12 teams from the top level Japanese League. Having expanded, the Japanese Second League and the Promotion/Relegation Series information now are their own set. All teams have full team cards, with try scorers and individual goal kicking ranges, with the set also including control charts for both home-and-away and neutral venue matches.
 
Tokyo BL won back-to-back titles - finishing top of the regular season table, before defeating easily Kobe, and then previous champions Funabashi in the final, 18-13.
 
Saitama were the other team to make the last four, but after a year of not losing in the regular season, they were shocked by a much-improved Shizuoka side to end that, as they finished fourth with 14 wins in 18 matches. That meant they made the expanded six-team playoffs for the first time, but surprisingly lost to Kobe.
 
Although Mie and Urayasu finished in the last two places, both won their promotion/relegation series to remain in the league next season.
