This set contains all 12 men's and 12 women's teams that played in the main round tournament held in Singapore.
 
New Zealand became men's champions for the first time - defeating back-to-back winners Australia in the quarters, then defeating Japan, and finally Korea, who made their first final before losing 21-15. China having already beaten the former champions in the pool stage, came back from a surprise semi loss to Korea to defeat Japan 22-20 for third place.
 
Australia's women however continued their dominance - a sixth title overall and fourth overall. Having already won their pool match, they again comfortably won the final against the Philippines, 18-9. It was the Filipinos' first final. Australia's toughest match was a 21-20 win against China in the semi-final, but like in the men's tournament, they came back to defeat Japan for third, 20-15.
