This set contains full home and away team ratings and scoring cards for the 18 clubs who took part in the season. It also contains the Interstate teams for Western Australia and Victoria.
An incredible Grand Final comeback where they scored four goals in the final four minutes to deny Fremantle their first ever flag, Brisbane matched their early 2000s dominance with a third straight premiership, with a seven point victory.
Fremantle had won only their second minor premiership with a 19-4 record, but had lost their first final to Hawthorn - as did their opponents, handily defeated by Sydney by 53 points. Each team made the preliminary final were they overturned the losses of their opponent in the Grand Final (Fremantle beating Sydney, Brisbane beating Hawthorn).
A Grand Final and season for the ages, which started with the return of the Interstate matches for the first time in 27 years. Victoria went to Perth and won a high-scoring affair against Western Australia, with its return later setting up a further three years of matches at least.
