Turkey's first final since 2023 saw them claim their second title, despite finishing only fourth in the league stage. There was only one win from leaders the United States though, and they were defeated by hosts China - who had come ninth in the league phase - in their quarter-final in five sets.
 
That was the only shock though for the Chinese as the Turkish won their semi-final 3-0, while Brazil ended Italy's two-time championship run 3-2, with the Brazilians also overturning their loss in the 2025 final. In 2026's final, all four sets were close, but after dropping the first set, Turkey won the next three for the title, which left Brazil with a fifth final defeat in as many appearances. Italy beat China for third.
 
Bulgaria with a 2-10 record finished bottom and were relegated.
