I see no reason why not, given it's a 'what if' anyway. They weren't rated together, and the reason for me writing that in the description, was because it was at the time that South Africa was persona non grata, and the World XV rebel tour was as a replacement to B&Is tours there. The major issue of teams across competitions is the control rating, but either give each team 10, or if you want an accurate control rating, use the formula for Team A's as ( Team A CV / (Team A CV + Team B CV)) * 20. Then that when rounded gives you Team A's control range, with the rest Team B's.

Having took a quick look at what data is available, it does look possible. I will add it to the list of things. I wouldn't expect for it to be any time soon, but thank you for the request. Paul.

Thanks for the idea, but the reason why it is just the 14 nations (now) is that there just isn't the connection of nations playing each other once you get below them. Also, outside of the big nations playing each other, or in their major tournaments, the amount of data and kicking details is sparse or non-existent. It could be estimated, but would lead to two almost fully separated strands of forming ratings.

I'm not surprised by that. I thought you would do. I will take a look about doing them both, although it won't be for a while at least, until all of the sets for competitions ending in the coming weeks are created. It gives me incentive to do them, knowing people will actually want them. Paul.

That's right. Although I would use the one I use in the English club sets for Rugby 13s, as the Japanese one can be done because I put all the teams in two divisions into the same pool to rate with each other in that one, whereas they're kept separate to their divisions in the other. But as there were no Premiership vs Championship games played in 2022-23, I couldn't use either method for that. You could just take the modifiers found from the promotion/relegation series matches in a Japanese set and it would be somewhat of a corollary that you could use. The only way around of it would be to do the 2023-24 season as well, and then use the Premiership Rugby Cup matches between them in that season for the modifier. Paul.

Hi Matthew. Oddly enough, I had previously planned to create that season for the reason that Jersey won the Championship, but after they closed up I decided not to bother doing so. I absolutely could still do this season set, however as I'm pretty sure Premiership and Championship clubs didn't play each other in 2022-23, and no team was promoted to the Premiership, if you wanted to play them with the 2023-24 top flight clubs, you would have to decide what kind of adjustments you'd want to make to Jersey's lower division ratings to compensate for playing at a higher level anyway. I will add it to my list again of things to consider rating. Hope this is of help in some way, and thanks for the question and interest. Paul.

As it stands now, it still remains in my head only. But I've had the model for a while. My plan is to use the biathlon model of speed for each section, but with bonus 'stability' modifiers for the following section, if the rolls are high (bad) or low (good) on a d20. Unfortunately I just haven't had the time to even create a spreadsheet to put the data in, let alone actually collect it as of today. I suspect it will end up being the speed events (downhill/super-G) first out, then with the technical events (slalom/giant slalom) at a later date, if that was well received and I had the time. With Paris, I haven't had a summer without events to look into a new title, but it is still my main future title to advance with, however I won't say for sure it will ever happen. However I will look at the coming winter season and try to collect some of it as it goes. The biggest issue doing it as it happens is not knowing which skiers are going to be at the top of the final points standings until the end, and there can be dozens of skiers in each event otherwise, which is why biathlon is left until afterwards too. But it has not been forgotten at all, and I want to get to it sometime. I'm sorry it's not more positive for now, but I hope this answer is useful. Paul.

Hi there Andy. Thanks for the question, and I apologise for the delay in replying to you. The answer is yes, there will be a 2022-23 set release. I've already put the team ratings data in to the file for the main tour. I even planned to release the challenge tour in its own release as well. The problem, and the reason it hasn't been released so far, is that all of the scoring statistics for the player identifiers for tries and kicks have been removed from the official website. There is going to be a new website for the rebranded competition in 2023-24, and maybe they will re-appear there then, although it's quite possible that it isn't 'fresh' to worry about statistical data, and so it doesn't re-appear. So I planned to wait to see if it would re-appear when the competition resumes (December), and whether it does or doesn't, then finish it and release then. I even already collected the challenge data during those two competitions, knowing that the World Rugby site never kept them online. But if instead yourself and any others who want to purchase this set don't care about having those, I can convert it into a team ratings only set (like the Handball League Edition now is), and move it up in and to release, with the challenge tour included as replacement. I hope this answers your question, and if you want to, let me know if you would prefer to forgo the team cards.

The one I have been asked already a few times for is alpine skiing. For any new game/sport, I have to create a new model that I think is both somewhat representative of the sport, and I believe will be interesting enough to keep players coming back to. And of course, it needs me to have the free time and energy to spend on creating the game, and then allocating it further to continuing to update it with new sets over time. So I won't guarantee there will be any new title by (or for sports at) Paris 2024, but if I find that time and get that spark to creating a new game model, then it's always possible. Some teams with lower control ratings have won - the biggest is the -2 win for Essendon against Melbourne after back-to-back heavy losses. Another notable was Brisbane holding Port Adelaide scoreless in the fourth quarter to win their opener after trailing by 28 points at three-quarter-time. I mean I don't know, I hope like with volleyball it is a game that interests someone out there who then enjoys playing it.
